Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir carries the sung parts of the liturgy at the 10:30 AM service in English and at the 1:00 PM Misa en español. For Christmas, Holy Week and other great feasts the two come together as one bilingual choir — the same music, two languages, one sound.

What it asks of you

The ability to read music is welcome but not required. What matters more is turning up on Wednesday evenings, or Sunday after the 10:30 service, and being willing to learn a line by ear alongside people who have been singing it for years.

Robes are provided. So is the coffee.

Who is already there

Singers range from people who sang in school choirs decades ago to people who joined last season having never sung in public. Several sing in both the English and Spanish rehearsals, which is one of the more practical ways this parish stays one parish rather than two congregations sharing a building.
